EPT ECR8000, See Spec sheet for ECR4000The EPT Electrostatic Contaminant Removal (ECR) 8000 and 4000 units leverage the physics of electrostatic forces to remove insoluble contaminants ranging in size from > 5 micron to less than 100 nanometers from lubricating fluids.  Research has proven that the vast majority of particles in used lubricating oils are sub-micron in size,  rendering mechanical filters useless.

Both the 8000 and 4000 ECR units effectively remove particles as small as 10 nanometers and many decomposition products, such as pre-varnish, lacquer, gel and sludge .  ECR is an essential part of a contamination control program for critical lubricant applications.

ECR units come in a variety of sizes to meet individual reservoir sizes, fluid viscosities, and operating conditions. By removing sub-micron sized contaminants, our ECR units solve valve sticking and other problems associated with EHC systems.  In turbine oil applications, where soluble contaminantion is high, ECR and ICB/SVR systems can be used together to address all aspects of the problem.
