I-LAB Spectrophotometer for Membrane Patch Colourimetry (MPC)

This lightweight, palm-sized spectrophotometer allows you to conveniently take measurements of coloured surfaces.  Its design has been optimized for portability and the application of the Membrane Patch Colourimetry (MPC) experimental method (draft ASTM standard).  The unit captures spectra, computes values, and displays results all without ever needing a computer.  The unit has the ability to connect to a computer via USB for easy transferring and storing of data and methods.  The method that reports the colour (in CIE LAB ΔE) values comes pre-programmed on the unit.  These values are used in the ASTM draft MPC method.  The user manual includes a detailed section on interpreting MPC results; an invaluable tool to improve understanding of the impact of fluid degradation and varnish formation.
